After over three decades on the bike, I’m still amazed by how much it has given me: opportunities to see the world, make amazing friends, and experience new cultures, but first and foremost, it has helped me to find myself.

In my mid-20s, I was successful in the outside world but often felt really unhappy and alone on the inside, and I wanted to understand why. My body was screaming and not getting any help from medicine; that’s why I started yoga as well as self-development programs. I learned a lot about myself. I feel lucky that I found another passion and that I am able to combine it with bikes.

I see things clearly now; it’s not all about big jumps and tricks anymore. It’s time for me to relax and ponder on life, to take it slow and explore more places around the world where my bike hasn’t taken me yet.
