Bicycle Nightmares presents Dirt Sessions at La Poma Bikepark
A gathering to shed light on an underserved niche within cycling
Open to the public since 2005, it’s incredible to see how La Poma has changed and evolved, and many riders would agree that it’s one of the best spots in the world. We’ve spent hundreds of hours at La Poma in our teenage years and part of our adulthood, and the positive impact that it has had on the Dirt Jump scene over the years it’s undeniable.
Unfortunately, the Happy Ride Weekend, La Poma’s annual Dirt event since 2008, is not happening this year, but we want to do something about it to give back to our local scene and the Dirt Jump community.
Dirt Sessions aims to bring dirt jumpers and like-minded individuals together to celebrate Dirt Jump culture and lifestyle—a gathering to shed light on an underserved niche within cycling and push self-expression and creativity forward with categories and awards for riders and photographers of all genders and ages.

Riders
Riders who register for Dirt Sessions will get a *free entry to ride and will be eligible to enter the following categories:
Clicked (best table top), Sideways (best whip), GRL PWR (best female rider), Controller (best trick), Young Blood (best young rider), Style Matters (best style), In This Together (best train), and Think, Then Drop In (best line).
The winners will be selected based on their riding performed during the jam sessions at La Poma’s New line, the classic MBA line, and the Big line. As a prize, they’ll receive a product bundle from the brands that support the event.
*Foam pit, airbag, and skatepark not included.

Photographers
Photographers who register for Dirt Sessions will be able to take part in four different categories: Action, Lifestyle, Black & White, and Mobile.
For the Action, Lifestyle, and Black & White categories, they will have three days after the event to post their best photos to their Instagram profile with the following caption: #NightmaresDirtSessions – [photo_category] @bicyclenightmares x @lapomabikepark
For the Mobile category, photographers will have to post photos shot with their mobile phones to their Instagram Stories in 16:9 format, mentioning @bicyclenightmares and @lapomabikepark, and using #NightmaresDirtSessions.
The winners will be announced via Instagram on Thursday, 16 December. As a prize, they’ll receive a product bundle from the brands that support the event.

DARK BLACK Gallery
Attendees will be able to visit our exclusive installation built to discover our apparel pieces and accessories (including new and yet-to-be-released items), see a photography exhibition, and explore other related products.

News & Coffee
The guys at News & Coffee will offer specialty coffee and their curated selection of alternative magazines.
The same stuff that you would find on their kiosks in Barcelona but in a reduced format, thanks to their Piaggio Ape truck transformed into a kiosk on wheels.

Win a Canyon Stitched 360
To celebrate Canyon’s support for this event, we’re raffling their brand new Stitched 360, and in case you’d like to try one, they’ll bring five more to test at La Poma.
